Charlie, thank you for the fabulous presentation for our Civilian Leadership Development Program at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow. It was motivating and hit right on target! Your personal stories were humorous and did a fantastic job getting your point across. Your seminar was well received by all those who attended and we look forward to hearing from you again in the near future.  Chad Trusty, Employee Development Officer & CLD Coordinator, Human Resources Office, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow CA 92311 chad.trusty@usmc.mil 26 Sep 2011

Charlie, Bravo Zulu (Navy for Well Done)!  Recruiting Team Atlanta is motivated, inspired and charging!  Your insight to our team's mission and positive leadership focus are infectious.  GREAT, wonderful, inspirational are but a few words that echo the passageways throughout the Recruiting District as we recruit like "Rhino Champions"!  Some of us have had the privilege of hearing you several times and never tire of hearing your inspirational messages - we are charging everyday!  Thank you for what you do and you do it so well.

Breckenridge S. Morgan CDR NRD Atlanta, CO breckenridge.morgan@navy.mil  28 July 2011

Hey Charlie, Just wanted to report that we are charging hard and fighting aggressively. We have posted some serious record weeks as a company and still focus on the message you delivered us. Hope all is well  in Rhino Central. We are all working hard and having a lot of fun! As you can see below we have modified our program to be hard charging Rhino’s that have a Viking fight in them!  Competitors beware!  Patrick Claffey, Domino’s Pizza patrickcis@hotmail.com 8 March 2011

Thank you Charlie, Your presentation to our Dominos’s Pizza franchisees, supervisors and general managers in the Pacific Northwest was received with a enthusiastic thank you! Many facilitators and speakers address the symptoms of issues and challenges we all face in the workplace and in our personal lives. Charlie helps to cut through the fluff and focus on the fundamental root obstacles and solutions. In the end it’s always about what each of our employees chooses to do with the time and tools at their disposal. No excuses, no band-aid approaches, just make the decision to be “Rhinos” and charge ahead! The presented topics were clear with many tailored references to Domino’s culture, goals and expectations. Common sense, uncomplicated with a Just Do It message. Thanks, Randy Steig, Area Leader, Domino’s Pizza Pacific Northwest randy.steig@dominos.com- 18 August 2010
"Charlie,This was one of the most motivational Domino’s Pizza Team Seattle meetings and potentially life changing meetings we have had thanks to you, Charlie. Now it’s up to us to continue to keep charging. You have raised the bar for us. I can’t thank you enough. The responses of the Domino’s Pizza store managers has been outstanding. My goal now, as a franchisee, is to keep them moving forward, and I think it will take a lot of coaching “sandwiches”. Thank you!" Greg Keller, Domino's Pizza Team Seattle cdpinc@q.com- 13 August 2010
“Super Job …Charlie. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you, Charlie “Rhino” for your truly outstanding leadership workshop for our Colorado Section of the PGA. Our professionals, general managers, and superintendents gave you sterling reports and found your training insightful and tremendously practical. In fact, several have implemented your leadership principles, and your follow on coaching with several general managers proved extremely successful. I loved your enthusiasm, fun delivery, and educational leadership tools offered to those who where lucky enough to attend. I would encourage other sections throughout the PGA to take advantage of your wonderful leadership training workshops while having fun during the entire workshop.” Eddie Ainsworth, PGA Executive Director, Colorado Section PGA EAinsworth@pgahq.com- 22 June 2010
Several years ago, I attended your infamous Rhinoceros Leadership Seminar. Under my personal goals section, I committed to paper my life-long dream to attend the Masters golf tournament in Augusta. My plan included becoming a Class A Golf Course Superintendent with the GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendent Association of America). It just so happens that the Masters tournament committee grants complementary passes for GCSAA members with Class A status, and the passes are good for the full week. This Sunday I am departing for Augusta, and it will now be my 3rd consecutive year. I’ll probably spend about 80 hours on the golf course during tournament week, and love every minute. I often think about your Rhinoceros Leadership class every time I get ready to go, and I just wanted to say thank you and pay homage for your inspiration. Keep Charging, Jim Hayes, Golf Course Superintendent, MCLB, Barstow, CA Jjim.hayes@usmc.mil- 12 April 2010

Charlie Tyrian is an outstanding, high energy, and impactful speaker. I invited him back to address over 150 leaders in my organization from over sixty-five cities throughout the country because of his previous success delivering of a hard-hitting, action-packed, dynamic presentation. A total winner again! Charlie tailored his comments to my conference theme and enthusiastically engaged the audience with his "Rhinoceros Leadership" message. I strongly recommend Charlie Tyrian as an organizational speaker and leadership trainer who will deliver a relevant, high-speed, and powerful motivational presentation. Colonel Lon M. Thanks for your dynamic presentation to the Halloran & Sage LLP partners at our September, 2006 retreat. The Rhino Paradigm cuts across industry lines, and is equally applicable to the business of law, the business of moving freight, or the business of selling pizza. Your two-day presentation was on target, and delivered with energy and enthusiasm. I have received very positive feedback from my fellow partners. I would not hesitate to recommend you to any organization looking to motivate and energize the masses, and have fun along the way. Carl R. Ficks, Jr., Esq. On behalf of the entire RoHoHo, Inc. DBA Papa John’s Pizza family, thank you! Your presentation not only inspired our Management Team, but pumped everyone up to train to their store teams, the same values and lessons you taught us. We have already noticed a difference in their attitudes and work ethics. Common words among the company are now; Charge! , be a Rhino not a Cow! , be the Ham not the Eggs, and most commonly in the south, “GET R DONE!” Not only were you dynamic and humorous, the lessons you taught were so simple. We so often overcomplicate our lives, but you put us back in a direction to achieve a simple yet effective plan of attack.Your message was tailored to fit our company and goals so completely, and you never strayed off track. We received extremely positive feedback from all of the participants.Again, thank you, it was a privilege and an honor to have you as our speaker at our annual Supervisor Conference. We, at Marine Corps Community Services Barstow, want to thank you for the three great leadership/customer service training days you gave us May 8-10, 2006. Rhino is a winner!!!! He truly helped focus TEAM San Diego for optimal success. It is often hard to keep an organization that has enjoyed success to resist settling into complacency. Rhino energized the TEAM and reminded them that competitors are everywhere. -- Bottom line -- Rhino made us better, and poised us to Three-peat as National Champions!!! If you want your organization to be optimized for top performance -- Bring in the Rhino!!! Simply put - no one better anywhere!!! CAPT (sel) Ken Barrett CO Navy Recruiting District San Diego (2004 - 2005 National Champions)ken.barrett@navy.mil
Col Tyrian- On behalf of TEAM INDY, I want to personally thank you for "charging us up" at our Annual Training Conference. Your research before the event became readily apparent when you incorporated our Command Covenant and other concepts already in progress here at NRD Indianapolis. With the District closing in the near future, your brand of energy and thought provoking presentation were just what we needed. The presentation became the subject of many fruitful conversations afterward and I still see your motivational Rhinoceros Paradigm card in use today, although I haven't heard of any one getting a discount yet! There are more "Do..ers" and less "Moo..ers" since you talked to us. CDR Tom Schwarz, USN, Commanding Officer, Naval Recruiting District Indianapolis. co_indy@cnrc.navy.mil
Thanks for confirming the business processes we are doing well at Enviro-Clean Equipment Company, Portland, Oregon and the things that need improvement. An outside perspective is a valuable asset and a wise man seeks wise council. The most significant recommendation was that I need to develop a second in command, that can back me up. I have hired additional personnel and am in the process of training my valuable human resources. Thanks for a job well done." Brad Lowe, President, Enviro-Clean Equipment Company, Portland, OR blowe@envirocleanequip.com

Your strategic business review of our dealership at Underground Inc., in Houston, Texas in June 2005 provided a fresh outlook and confirmed what we thought we knew. Thank you for a superb presentation to my Navy Recruiting District, Portland, Oregon on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 in Reno, Nevada. The recruiters and support staff really enjoyed the program and we received a lot of positive feedback from the conference attendees. It was a great way to get them energized and I think you were able to "open a lot of eyes" in a way that we couldn't because of our positional relationship with them. Charlie, Just wanted to thank the "Rhino" once again for an absolutely extraordinary presentation to our Recruiting Region West Zone Supervisors' Conference. Your exceptionally positive and motivational message was very timely and apropos to the challenges we are facing in recruiting today. I was particularly impressed with how well you immersed yourself in the issues we are grappling with by listening in on several hours of discussions and briefings leading up to your presentation. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your awesome seminar you gave my students and staff in October. I have received nothing but outstanding, positive feedback from both groups. The timing of the presentation was also appropriate and I believe it has recharged the batteries of those who were dealing with Hurricane Ivan's aftermath. A lot of what you shared was common sense ...., but it was the delivery and how you brought it all together that made the difference. Captain Lauren Taulman, U.S. Navy, Commanding Officer, Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit, Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. - 26 November, 2004
Thank you for the stimulating presentation you provided to my recruiting leadership team at our Annual Goaling Conference at Great Lakes, Illinois. My staff and I received rave reviews and I'm certain we can count on many budding "Rhinos" amongst our team. I can think of no better way to kick off our best year of recruiting yet. A.P. I'm Sam Oglesby, a retired Chief Warrant Officer-3, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret). I'm writing to let you know the impression you made upon me some 20 years ago, as a young Lance Corporal, at MCRD San Diego. I was going through some old papers from my days in Marine Corps, and came across your "Rhino Paradigm Card" that describes the "Rhinoceros Leadership " philosophy. I have carried this card with me all these years and frequently refer back to the principles. I recently found your web site and see that you are still motivating others....and I just wanted to let you know that after all these years, your words still have a powerful impact. Sam Oglesby, Principal Systems Analyst, Missile Defense Agency, Structure Integration and Deployment. samuel.oglesby.ctr@mda.mil - 29 September, 2004
Thank you for speaking to the senior enlisted leaders of Navy Recruiting at our recent Senior Enlisted Training Symposium. Your thoughts on leadership served to invigorate the men and women charged with leading our young Navy recruiters stationed throughout the country. I can only ascribe the success at Navy Recruiting to the efforts of the 8,000 Sailors, officers, and civilians throughout the country who directly contribute to our recruiting mission.... Your support of the United States Navy, and in particular, Navy Recruiting Command, is sincerely appreciated. Rear Admiral Jeff Fowler, U. S. Navy.

Just wanted to say thank you for the truly outstanding training sessions you offered the naval Air Station Keflavik MWR staff as well as numerous base department and tenant command members during your visit May 17-18 of 2004. With all the major changes we have dealt with recently, and the certainty that there will be more in the future, this was a great opportunity to get a little Marine Corps-type motivation, training and new ideas on how we all can refine our leadership skills to better equip us to take care of our folks during these lean financial times. Your sessions created the right atmosphere to help implement successful organizational change, while reminding us of the importance great customer service plays in our daily duties and responsibilities. I can guarantee this would be a worthwhile investment for other MWR staffs throughout the European Region, and hopefully funding can be found to bring you over for more sessions. Thanks again Charlie, and please continue to serve and stay in the fight...and Keep Charging! Dennis Merkel

Charlie, You know how some people can touch your life in a way you will never forget? You are that person for me. I learned so much from your class that I never would have experienced otherwise. I have moved on from the naive 19 year old girl I was when we first met 7 years ago. I have a family and a new career, but I still look back on the lessons you taught. I worked at Vac-Con as the receptionist when we first met. I now work at Overnite as an Office Manager in Hawaii. We moved here in October, and it's been tough. But I remember so many things that you taught that help me to continue moving on. Thank you so much for everything. Most of all, thank you for sharing your wonderful ability with others. Samantha

You may or may not remember me. My name is Matt Dunshee from New Orleans. I was at the Vaccon meeting in Baton Rouge. I came up to you at the end and asked about incentives. I just wanted you to know that you are the best motivational speaker I have ever heard. I have heard many. I just wanted to take the time to thank you. Things I learned will carry over to my children at home even. I have 5 year old twin sons I raise by myself and I have already started teaching them to be rhinos. They relate to it well since being a rhino makes it fun for them. Once again I can't thank you enough. If you are ever doing leadership training in this area again please contact me. To Rhino Charlie and the rest of the Rhino Camp leadership team. I wanted to take this moment to thank you all for your efforts and never ending inspiration. At Rhino Camp last May (2002), I was able to take stock of my current physical, mental, and spiritual well being and identify certain areas of improvement. Since that time, I have lost over 25 lbs., exercise religiously everyday, and am in the best shape I have been for a number of years. In addition, your motivation has helped me (and the company) to aggressively identify and achieve our goals for new customers, new markets of distribution, improved customer service, and of course, increased sales (as much as 20% to 25% in some of the product categories.) Keep up the work and keep turning out those "Rhinos."

"I would like to express my sincere thanks for the wonderful motivational speech you gave the the Annual State Family Readiness Conference on 'Rhinoceros Leadership - It Starts With You', (July 20, 2002). Your speech truly rejuvenated many of us into remembering what was important and becoming focused on our goals. Your sense of fun as well as your motivating words was greatly appreciated by all the members and families. My job, and that of my Family Program Office, is to provide for the needs of our Colorado Guard families while their Guard members are deployed around the world for the interests of our country. One way that we prepare families for deployments is through the training that we provide to our volunteers, commanders and first sergeants. Your presence at our Conference provided an important message for our leadership and volunteers to remember as we prepare our families for deployment. Thank you once again for supporting our troops and their families."

Charlie Tyrian was one of our guest speakers at the 2002 Korea BOSS Seminar. He was perfect for our divergent group of young and seasoned soldiers and MWR Advisors. Charlie even worked the timing of his speech around the general's schedule, allowing us to work our CG into the seminar agenda. Most speakers would have been "put out" by that request, but Charlie knew exactly how important this was to us and the day went smoothly. The following are some of the comments heard after the seminar: "Charlie was incredible! Funny & informative." "I thoroughly enjoyed Charlie's presentation...and I learned a lot, too." "That rhinoceros guy was funny! I thought his comments about being "fertilized' were right on target."

The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Illinois was privileged to have Charlie, the Happiest Rhino, with us at our Patriotic Conference. The group of over 400 American Legion Family members reacted with positive attitudes to his wonderful presentation, to "Keep Charging." His infectious positive remarks has kept our Auxiliary focused on membership and service. Several ladies wrote to tell me that they "charged out" and signed up several new members and renewed others that had not paid, only because of Charlie's presentation. One District President went back bought some "Rhino stickers" and made bookmarks to use in her attempt to finish the year on a high note. As the Exective Director of The New Orleans Police Foundation I am always looking for quality training and education opportunities for the New Orleans Police Department. Last month I hit a "home run" with Charlie and his "Happy Rhino"! Police service in all major cities is a very difficult and intense task which over time tests the very soul of all officers. The message that Charlie delivered gave our senior officers the opportunity to view their job and themselves in a different light. When he was finished they were all able to stand a little taller, smile and feel better about thier jobs. Any police department which needs to give its officers a chance to revitalize their personal and professional goals should get Charlie on their 911 line.

Navy Recruiting District Omaha asked Charlie Tyrian to help us jump start a new fiscal year committed and focused on our mission to man the fleet. The presentation was fast-pased, exciting and dead-on-target. Charlie indicted us for our bad habits of excuse-making and self-pity and provided us motivating tools for success. He reminded us that Navy recruiting can satisfy any Sailor's need to be a patriotic contributor to our nation's security and challenged us to make the professional effort to have FUN! Charlie did his homework. He knew NRD Omaha and his presentation addressed our specific challenges an opportunities. Charlie knows military recruiting and knows how the latest sales and leadership techniques will make military recruiting successful. "How to be the World's Happiest Rhino" was among the best investments we will make this year.

Charlie, Just a note to thank you for your presentation on 12 Feb to the Wisconsin Army National Guard Senior NCO conference. You set the stage for a very successful conference, and your tie in with the Adjutant General's remarks reinforced our goals and objectives. You and I both know that success doesn't happen by mistake. You've been working with the WIARNG since 1995. At that time the WIARNG was in desperate shape. Your tour throughout Wisconsin was an intregal part of our success plan. Today the WIARNG is "green" looking to grow and postured for success. On a personal note, we have had many speakers and presentations given to us. I always had the feeling we were nothing more than a paycheck. However, I know you took a personal interest in us personally and our organization. The phone calls you have made and the advice you would give proved to me and others that cared about us. I am the Chief of Police for the above city and recently sent four of my lieutenants to the leadership camp. I had a number of collaborative and supervisory issues being addressed when they attended. Since their return there has been a remarkable change in attitude, performance, and teamwork. While these are good people, I will attribute much of the growth to their completing this course. I am personally proud of Colonel Tyrian and his staff for what they were able to accomplish. I will be sending additional supervisors, and myself, to future courses. I will also be working with the colonel in establishing ongoing growth.
As one who teaches leadership, has written leadership courses, and who studies leadership, I can easily and without hesitation recommend Colonel Tyrian's course. It is an investment in not only the attendee's future, but that of your organization. I highly recommend it.

Recently attended first day of Officer Candidate School (O.C.S.) for the Iowa Army National Guard future Leaders and recieved the Mr. Charlie Tyrian 'RHINO' motivational charge. Every aspect of our first weekend after the speech is now referred to as being a Cow or taking 'charge' and being a Rhino. Thanks Charlie for keeping life simple.
